Katie Pascoe

Katie Pascoe lives and works from her studio in Nelson, we are very proud to show a selection of her exciting work.

“I am interested in an art practice that explores creative possibilities and ideas with objects. My educational and work background is in art history and occupational therapy. These two disciplines influence me in different ways. I am intrigued by both people and objects, especially objects made for the body. Also how we relate and interact with objects in different social and cultural ways. Objects can be powerful things that connect us to people, place and even the mystic unknown at times. Materials are important to my practice and the found object always intrigues me with the possibilities of hidden narratives, reimagined forms and transformation.”
